This novel is a very special one. First of all, it has decent storytelling and hypnotic writing. The author knows how to tell a story and make it interesting, and also how to create tension. He divides each chapter in short POV narrations, in a similar style to Game of Thrones books, if you want a recent and recognizable example. He usually uses characters for those POV that will give you interesting info and insight about cities, folklore, etc; but he does it in a way that feels natural: Spoiler
you know Chiyuki would know all of this things about the city because it has been established she's a very curious and studious person. Same goes for Kuroki.
[collapse]Thai being said, the novel isnt perfect: it feels it lacks of some emotional core. Now, that doesn't mean it's a bad novel, it just need a little more of that: SpoilerThe relationship between kuroki and his childhood friend is a driving force to his character but it feels lacking after 50+ chapters
[collapse]The world building and the way heroes, gods and devils act feels very close to greek myths. Gods feel like they could start a war over petty things, and humans indeed feel like inferior, powerless, creatures. Very detailed. Love this aspect of it!So, its a very cool and well written isekai. It has ecchi and some harem antics. I rly like it. (This is a recommendation. It has nothing to do with the author or his novel. Do not wait for translated chapters. The team translating this to english is way too slow for a novel of this nature: theres a lot of build up for each arc so you will feel that's lacking in pacing. It would be acceptable if they were translating complete chapters but they divide them in 3-4 parts and they work in a weekly basis. Just use google translate and verify it and cross check it with other MT)
