This is a strange novel. It's unique and dark. The author has managed to affect me in ways that are hard to put into words.Have you ever seen one of those disturbing rennisance paintings depicting hell? It's beautiful in this strange macabre way. The figures are shown tormented in henious ways, and yet it is undeniably art. An artist showing moments of horrid torment in a beautiful medium.That's what this story feels like. The little bits we see as the story progresses vary. Some parts are mysterious and intriguing, while others seem confusing and unnecessary. But when the author finally backs up and allows us to glimpse the full image it invokes that same sense of awe.
