I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
- Huo Siming's character development came too late for me. The threats and imprisonment weren't cute and he should have apologised. He should have recognised his feelings much sooner.
- I wanted him to deal with his grandfather earlier. I couldn't be in awe of his intelligence or ruthlessness when he allowed the old man to control him for so long.
- It's easy to ignore his own trauma and fail to sympathise. He wasn't written as a likeable character tbh, except in the extras.
- Ran Hang deserves smoke too. I can't with characters that have no self preservation and are prone to bouts of self pity.
