Ahhh this is a slow, slice-of-life novel with strong, healing vibes! Perfect if you're in the mood for steady character development imbued with loves of subtext! The initial premise --- the time travel --- is definitely a bit fantastical, but the rest of the story is very calm and realistic. Each character has both good and bad points, and these complexities allows what could have been a relatively boring setup to become extremely meaningful! I really like it, but I'm in the wrong mood it so I quit early so that I can come back to reread it when I'm in a better mindset later on!

Summary: The MC (Jiang Wang) ended up travelling twenty years into the past. At this time, his past self was jut six years old, and he was not living well because of an alcoholic father. After arriving in this timeline and realizing that he can't go back to the present, he decides to visit his old home and ends up taking away his younger self. The rest of the story that follows is mostly focused on this development. That is, the dynamic between the old and the young. As well as the complicated situation with the parents. And, oh! Of course, the budding love between the MC and ML (who is the younger MC's current teacher).
