The problem with this novel is that it is so superficial. Most issues have already been addressed by the other reviewers. There's no real depth, the characters are flat, and the author pulls stuff out of thin air (most recently, it was suddenly revealed that the country had some sort of elite ceremonial aerial unit all along, just in time to solve the most recent crisis).It feels like reading a summary of a script.
