Stick with it.The aspect the author is best at is embodied in the saddest moments of this novel.Redemption.It's not perfect. The dialogue does not have a distinctive voice. Each character speaks in the same tone, sentence structure and often with the same word choice. I sigh every time a character ends a sentence with "you know?"Thing is, it's incredibly earnest.The author, even with those faults, still manages to imbue a lot of emotion in the main characters.I find that endearing enough that I can't help but enjoy it.
