Dragonholic translation is pure unedited MTL - I recommend Salmon Latte Translations. That said, I was a bit disappointed with the story. After you get through the first 2 chapters where MC is just crying and running everywhere, the story does get a lot better. The MC's reactions, though annoying, are still pretty realistic. If you're someone who is easily scared or a regular person forced to play a gruesome horror game in VR "RL, " it makes sense that you can't adapt right away and you just run from everything. Plus, the events take place in a pretty short timeframe (a few days) so it's not like the MC has gone through a lot and "got used" to it.Unfortunately, though the story is "realistically" portrayed, it doesn't mean that it was well written. The MC does grow to have her own agency eventually andSpoiler
comes up with an ultimate plan to trick the demon.
[collapse] There were a bunch of weird plot holes at the endSpoilerwhere the MC spends multiple chapters trying to hide her plan from her allies because she is afraid the demon will find out if she speaks of it, but then she literally throws away all of her effort hiding the plan last minute to just explain it to the whole team the minute the demon shows up (???) and the demon (obviously) hears her because the demon is RIGHT THERE in front of them lol
[collapse]and that was kind of the straw that broke the camel's back. One of those disappointing stories that had potential but couldn't be executed well.
