The beginning was good. He had motivation, struggle, character growth, the monsters were interesting, side characters had enough interactions and development. But the novel started going downhill when the concept of luck monsters started becoming prevalent. MC grows stronger way too fast and everything was chalked upto luck monsters and his past life experiences. As he grew stronger and stronger, the side characters became irrelevant more and more. Even the newly introduced side characters were either not developed or simply thrown away bcaz MC grows stronger too fast. I felt multiple times that author could have him spend a decade pondering dao or something and give him more involvement with his family, friends and benefactors.

Harem part is really a big minus. MC had a crush with one girl in his past life but decided not to pursue her after trying to flirt with her poorly for one moment. In this life, he loves only one woman but author made scenarios where MC had to make love with lot of girls.

Spoiler

one time, MC was forced to get drunk by a powerful monster and had to pretend that all the women the monster captured were his wives. Then the monster forced him to have s*x with the ladies otherwise they will fu*k the ladies. MC was drunk and the girls obviously choose the great MC over monsters.

But author didn't plan to continue the plot line and made MC forget everything he did with the 120 women over 3 day n night. The ladies also decided to not tell him anything about it. One of the girls is his past life crush. But in the later part of the story none of them are relevant. He didn't even describe the s*x so I am really confused why author wrote that scene.

Next the author wrote a special tribulation for mc's favourite monster girl. MC had to fulfill her wish and her wish was that her master should care for her and love her more. So they end up banging to survive the tribulation. At first I didn't know how to feel about the scene. Though I didn't like he did that, I thought that it will develop his bond with his monsters more later. But nothing like that happened. Even that monster had now faded into background. So I hate this scene.

MC had a special monster which is a ship named ship of bliss and made of 72 beautiful women killed and refined to ship parts. Before getting all 72 of the girls, the relationship was like friendship and alliance. Once every girl was gathered, author wrote that in order to fully tap into their potential, MC needs to have s*x with all of them and made the scene so that they need that power to survive. So MC did it. Then found that having s*x with them gives him a valuable treasure so now whenever the treasure is used up, they will have s*x to create it. Initially 72 girls were all about freedom and want to live like a human. Now I am not sure that's what they got. Sure most of them liked him before they had s*x and now everyone love him so they are probably happy to do it with him. But I can't help but feel now that they simply became a tool to manufacture something. Even the ally relationship turned into complete boss subordinates relationship so I feel bad for the girls. Maybe MC will one day bring them back to life and make them his concubines but it doesn't matter if he is only going to fu*k them now for the treasure.

Still I didn't drop the novel bcaz I wanted to know what will happen to the fMC. She had great initial development when she was pretending to be male. She was his best friend and a general for him. But after she exposed her female identity to MC, her character became still and now all she do was missing MC and trying to be the good supporting wife she was and prepared to accept his harem. She was the only woman, MC truly loves but even their engagement didn't get a scene and mentioned in one liner by the author. They didn't even kiss so far. Author once mentioned that fMC is entering a fast development period. But nothing developed so far.

The point where I am in the novel, MC has a super powerful method which can subdue his opponents to him. Two powerful female powerhouses were begging for mercy and acceptance from him after he used that attack. It felt creepy to me. It was like he destroyed their self and turned them into a s*ave for him to me. So I finally decided to drop it.

The story was fun for me till MC established his own country. After that the novel took a nosedive downhill for me. Until that point, it is a good read though.
