The story is lightweight and unsophisticated. The common tropes are there, and while they fit, they're not doing much more than checking boxes. Either the author is inexperienced, or too busy to put together complex characters and consider the implications of powers and events in the story. The MC is relatively bland and easily pushed around by side characters.If you've never read a story in this genre before, it could be modestly enjoyable. But if you're older than 12 and want to enjoy it, don't think too much about it, ever. I would also recommend against binge reading, to keep the MC's doormat behaviour from becoming too annoying.
