edit bc I read more just for the hell of it: lily literally says she can't run away because otherwise charlotte (her maid) would suffer. But charlotte just wants to run away with her and make her happy. IS THAT NOT TRUE LOVE? IS THAT NOT THE EPITOME OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE LOVED?
