This would be a decent novel without our MC. Yes, it might be weird but the story is actually quite decent. That is if our MC isn't the main character. Personally, an MC being treated like sh*t is nothing new, but the way he reacted to it is just dissapointing.

Spoiler

You got chased out of the world you saved and got treated like tumor. A normal person, while might not wish for world destruction, would at least feel distant from it, or not wanting to help someone from that place. But no, he suddenly have to pitch in and save a saint, being a complete stranger at that, and let her stay at his home. Saving her from pursuers is one thing, letting her stay at his house is another, alright. After about 1 arc, MC now have faint feelings for the saint. Just why? This should've been spread out over the course of 3, 4 arcs or at least insert some development, at least. Make this believable, right?

And the ex, too. She broke up with MC for his supposed safety. Yeah, a plot I can at least understand but MC still act like nothing major happened. No acting cold or distant, simply go back to being a doormat to get stepped on.

Other than that, characters are decent and the story is good. The MC being the center though, drag the story down a lot.
