Fierce “Husband” Chapter 177 Discussion

This had potential, but I won't be finishing it. The MC, while Mary Sue in abilities, is an enjoyable character. I wish there was more screen time between him and the ML. So I enjoyed maybe the first 60 chapters. After that, the cons started to outweigh the pros.

Cons rant: Okay, so the MC knows how to do everything but I was like as long as he doesn't become a medical genius I can get over it. And then he became a medical genius. And while I know that depictions of mental health issues in Chinese novels are an education and culture problem, it doesn't mean that I don't hate reading it. And the sexism. And the s*avery. MC says he's a modern man, but still says stuff like women naturally being more shrewish and less courageous than men. And buys s*aves and never attempts to free them.

I still gave it a shot but then truly gave up when it became a fantasy novel with the immortal fairy fruit. Which also, why do all the men get to be immortal but none of their wives???? Madame Cen mentors your daughter just like Elder Cen mentors your son but whatever I guess.
