I literally couldn't force myself to read past ch40. The ML is an abusive jerk and is honestly disgusting. I felt sick reading this. He lies to the MC, steals from him, mistreats him, physically ab*ses him and also expects the MC to be his loyal pet.The MC is funny and very much out of his depth in this new world, and it seems like every chapter is just another bad thing happening to him with him doing his best to keep going.The translation is awful, the names change, characters are arbitrarily referred to as both him and her, sometimes switching even in the same sentence, which sometimes makes it hard to figure out who is who, and errors abound everywhere. If this was an unedited MTL I would not be surprised.The only good part of this novel is the interactions between the MC and Mo Yi.
