Truthfully, I skimmed the novel. This is mostly due to me having read the manga before and the low rating on NU. And despite the high review ratings, the low NU rating was justified I'd say. Though I'd argue the general main plot and setting, even characters are good, the biggest problem is the endless looping of the MC's thoughts:"My groin hurts, my c*cks hard, I want to have s*x, if only, f*ck she's hot"Things like that, endlessly on repeat. The MC wishes to do so, but he can't to protect his future marriage prospects, safeguard his territory from falling under another rule (noble wife), and also losing influence.This is suppossed to be comedy, which it is for a bit, but it's very repetitive that it feels like most of the chapters are just about him battling his lust and male iron c*astity belt to not show him getting hard.Even in the manga I tried before this was too much for me, but the main plot and characters were good enough for me to still enjoy the story. In the novel version on the other hand, even while skimming zi couldn't enjoy this
