I really like this series, but I do wish there were more chapters with their relationship. It is a very slow burn series where it follows the "regular" butler duties (for this world) of the MC for the beginning and there was a section of that during the spring meeting arc. After that there was more interlacing of action and regular day-to-day.If you're looking for a action heavy series, this isn't for you. If you think following day-to-day stuff is boring, this also isn't for you. If you don't like slow-burn (romance between characters develops slowly), this is also not for you.If you're for a story-focused romance (basically where the romance is a side-plot from the main story), this is for you.If you were looking for a demon story-focused romance with explicit intimacy, this isn't it. GOOD story-focused with explicit intimacy is already hard to find, let alone having that with demon characters (or any non-completely-human character for that matter.) For the general record; just because someone wants a story with explicit chapters, doesn't mean that they want EVERY romance to have those. They just happen to want to find a story with a certain type of plot (like a futuristic story with a demon butler in this case), with that added content. They could LOVE a specific plot for stories, and they could all just be fluffy romances, but they want to find something explicit with that plot to see what it's like. (Just felt the need to add this because someone on the TL page under the series asked if there was smut and someone immediately jumped to saying "Are one of those book tok people that cry for "spice" in every book they read or something?" when that's a complete overreaction to a simple question.) Overall, I like this story personally, but there is a lot in it that is geared to more specific audiences, so I'd recommend testing the water yourself to see if you'll like it. There are a few critiques I'd make, but those are just personal opinion and don't affect the review so I don't feel the need to write them out. The only critique that slightly affected the review was the extra chapters being so condensed and fast paced. It felt like there was a lot the author wanted to include in the after-story, but they decided to just condense EVERYTHING into just 4 chapters. It just felt like there was so much missing in the after-story because the author just wanted to end the series faster. The author could have just ended the story at the end of the main story, and, although there would be some things people wished happened or they wish they new more about, it would have been fine. But, they condensed revelations about the original timeline (where Ya Xiao wasn't there), with Ya Xiao and Qin Qi being lovey-dovey, with the Demon Realm (trying to be vague as to not spoil things), with a meeting with the marshals. It was just far too much to condense into 4 chapters, so, as a result, a lot of details were skipped. I know it's the extra chapters and not the main story, but they're still very much a part of the story and do affect how you feel surrounding the story.I would still recommend reading them, as there really is a lot that happens, but don't expect the chapters to be the same quality as the main story.
