I managed to read further than I thought I did of the translated parts. But I couldn’t take it anymore.I know it’s a “trope” of Japanese writers that love to “hide” things by not being fully honest, leading to misunderstandings. While there are some things I fully admit can be embarrassing, there are also some things that make no sense to hide or purposely go out of your way to say or not say, that is different from the actual truth.But the biggest reason I had to stop was the writer’s insistence on repeating themselves, almost beating the reader over the head “in case you forgot.” You don’t need to repeat major premises. Simply saying she was “exiled and won’t get any help” is enough, don’t need to go into why, by whom each and every time, especially since nothing has changed about those details the last ten thousand times you’ve repeated it.These stories are written and uploaded onto internet servers and just like books, if a reader forgot, it’ll only take them a few seconds to find something that reminds them, without the writer repeating themselves over and over... and over... and over.Unfortunately, stuff like this is going to keep happening, because the writer needs to fill up as much space as possible.
