Spoiler

very patriotic thing I hated the most was at the end, where it's kind of revealed that the info they spent nearly a decade trying to retrieve and sacrificing so many soldiers life in the process, was actually outdated. And the purpose of theme retrieving it was to show "no one can f*ck with China and get away with it" like damn was that really worth it?

They met in Cambodia, and he's an undercover soldier infiltrating a drug and weapons ring. He saved her and tells her to forget everything that happened here (no romance here) and they don't meet again for 7 years. After 7 years they meet again in the military, where she holds a job in the performance troupe as a singer. After a series of carefully crafted coincidences by him, they end up dating. While dating, she has the misconception that he has a first love, and she feels like a replacement, and proposes to break up after 2 weeks. This is when he kinda goes all in, confessing and chasing her. Around the same time, the threat of the Cambodian drug lord re-emerges, and we see shoot outs, car chases, and have to constantly try and figure out where the alliances of the other characters lay.

Bad:

chen guozhi

washa

da en

tori (more neutral)

jiang hao (but I think he developed feelings for qiao Yufei towards the end)

good:

lei lei

all soldiers

duan kun

Auntie xin

qiao yufei

Muse, you're so talented!!! What a beautiful world you have created . I was never a fan of werewolf stories, and since I read your first book of the series , there was no way back!!! It's a funny thing. I had no idea it was series and read by chance Azura &Lios' story, and I was thrilled to find out
