The novel was amazing. The characters were amazing. Most of it was amazing. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 was just because of the pacing. At some parts, it felt so slow and got dragged. Others felt so fast. Spoiler
But because of that 6 year time skip, it kinda made me reluctant to keep reading the book. It just felt tacky.
[collapse]The characters were well-written. All had in-depth backstories that made you feel like you couldn't help but root for them. The romance was slow because our little Yu'er was small, but it was still well-written that you just kept reading for the plot. Of course, the romance kicks off and then... pauses... but comes back again. The ending wasn't that worth it for me, but the journey to the ending was. It was a good book. I wouldn't read it again, but it was enjoyable.Shoutout to DragonTL, love their translations! Hope they continue translating Xianxia novels and wish them the best!
