The writing at first seems out of place, But later on the writing doesn't seem out of place. It have similar settings/Scenario as Overlord. Both were stuck with their VR-MMO characters, Have underlings that regards them as God, High being as such. Their underling wanted to dominate the world, Also the era they are in are the lost era.
It really have a lot of similarities, Without the complex scenario it progressed really fast and the MC at first I thought "He" lost his manhood, But further reading the MC was a pretty boy and his feminine almost dominates his manhood, I don't really know much but the MC sometimes acts girlish with a certain boy. (But the so overpowered underlings were once Bosses makes her tremble and maybe that what force him to act like the princess he is or else he thought he will get the hammer)
In Overlord in LN and WN didn't have players or someone equally match to the MC except Shalltear, But in this novel the players are still alive and abide a certain GOD. The MC have particular interest but not so much, The current situation is the MC's just playing around under the pretext of for his country and doing random things which led to meeting enemies and friend-enemies (former comrade) and making new comrade on the way (with his overwhelming power) and the MC is a regular gamer who's hobby to collect pets which he regrets. To fill the gap he trains with the beast king, And martial art which his former comrade/enemies didn't utilize and uses basic game strategies.
