I’m Pregnant With a Wealthy Old Man’s Child Chapter 38 Discussion

It’s not bad, but there’s a lot of incomprehensible points (there’s a few spoilers here)

MC transmigrates in a novel set in modern world, except men can get pregnant here. And he transmigrates into a character that is already 6 months pregnant. The OG owner had drugged and r*ped the other person (our ML), leaving him no choice but to get married after pregnancy. So, understandably, ML hates MC. Although, in the OG story, ML is very tr*shy later on and torments OGowner and their child so he can get together with the OGFL, but he’s the 2nd ML so that doesn’t happen.

I have a few concerns with this novel. And this is not even including why did an originally BG novel have a setting where men can get pregnant that doesn’t get used except to have the 2nd ML be married with a kid (why a guy tho? Can just be a girl? It’s not like I have anything against the setting, I’m here to read this novel knowing it’s BL mpreg. I’m just confused why that specific setting when it isn’t used.)

Spoiler

The novel’s pretty inconsistent. It’s set in a world where it’s normal for men to get pregnant and author repeatedly mentions that and yet why do other characters all respond in a shocked manner to find out that MC is pregnant???

MC finds an emerald that is connected to a space. That space had flowers and fruits that have very miraculous effects like curing insomnia, hair loss, acne etc. And MC uses those to earn money. Like why? We’re set in a normal modern world with no magic, no apocalypse, then why this ridiculous golden finger? That space even has other humans living in it with 100s of years of lifespan. Wtf? Also, there’s been no explanation of the emerald’s origin so far (ch-38). And other people can access that space too, since the locals mentioned they’ve met others like MC before

Why does the ML suddenly seem interested in MC after hating and avoiding him for raping himself? I don’t really like ML’s personality, but he doesn’t seem like the type of guy to torment his own child to pursue someone else. Why did he do that in OG novel?

The OGFL positively commented on MC’s post about promoting his anti-insomnia products and MC didn’t even reply to her, nor has he ever met her before, yet ML and their servants conclude that MC’s in love with her? The f*ck? This is after they know that MC’s former parter was a guy (before our MC transmigrated) so they know he’s gay.

Why did MC fall for ML? He has read the novel and he knows that ML will do horrible things to him later, yet he doesn’t doubt him at all?

One thing I did like tho, was that MC concluded pretty early that ML is very different from the one in the novel. But he still believes that ML will fall for ogFL, which is actually okay since ML’s actions can lead to that since he’s been looking into ogFL after assuming for some weird reason that MC likes her

Also, when MC actually give birth, before we can see people’s reactions to meeting the new bun or even meet the bun ourselves as readers, author pans over the POV to a random character who was just introduced and how she realizes that her acne problem was solved by the fruits she got from MC and not her new medication. We spend an entire chapter and a half (1.5) chapter on that before we return to MC and the baby. WTH? I was so disappointed at this
