The one point I thought was interesting in the manga was when the main character talked about how using guns was more efficient than magic and that was the only point this series had my attention.

Then the school arc starts and we get introduced to bland generic cartoon villain nobles who are made so pathetic in terms of their understanding of magic and ability to use it that it feels like they come from a different world.

Their idea of what constitutes strong magic is misaligned with what the MC knows that the scenes of them taking the test is comical without being funny.

My final criticism is the MC whos only defining characteristic that he is an assassin raised from childhood but he does things so over the top that undermines him being an assassin who wants to stay low and not raise attention.

Not good don't waste your time.
