Surviving the Game as a Barbarian Chapter 400 Discussion

Quick review with minor spoilers.

It's a pretty unique take on the Isekai genre, where the people of the game world are aware of the 'otherworlders' and actively try to arrest/kill them. I think it falls off a little as the story goes on though.

Good points:

Game mechanic is pretty unique and interesting (wish it was a real game)

Cool fights

Lots of lying and mindgames

Lots of mystery in the story, none of that 'goddess brought me to the world to kill the demon king!' garbage

Plot holes, there are quite a lot later on

Wizards are broken and sh*t on everyone and everything, which doesn't make a lot of sense considering the MC is supposed to be super knowledgeable in the game and the story itself claims his Barbarian build is the best

The romance subplot is very infuriating with 0 payoff, there are even NTR bait chapters... Author seems to be setting up for a harem ending, but even as a harem lover myself I think it's a shitty harem
