I Am Average and Unremarkable Chapter extra 3 Discussion

As expected from one of my favorite authors, I Am Average and Unremarkable seems to be an easygoing read but it actually deals with the deepest and darkest human emotions and feelings.

Both of our protagonists were victims of the so-called righteousness — one was forced to be the savior of the world by using her heart, flesh, and bones to refine the cauldrons while the other one was forced to act like a filter to protect the three realms and bear for the whole world. Both Jiu Hui and Zhi You deserved to live their lives the way they wanted to and should not have been expected to sacrifice their own for everyone.

Sacrificing one to save many should never be the norm because that one person has their own feelings, emotions, and desires to live their own life. Believing that it is okay to sacrifice one person is so bigoted when everyone should contribute for everyone’s well-being. The safety of all beings should always have been a collective responsibility of every person and not just depend on one person.

The resolution of the story was so complex and detailed. I loved it so much. If this novel was not able to make you a better being, then there might be something wrong with you. I always believe that I learn new things in every novel I read, one of the many things I have learned from here is that you make your own fate and you should never let others tell you otherwise. It is your own life so you should pave your own path.
