Humans left earth and ended up residing in an alien planet centuries earlier. They are now considered as 2nd rate citizens and suffer some discrimination. It is not to the point of killing or assaulting them with impunity (this is a light novel after all)
The aliens were a dying race due to their 0% natality rate. The story is about giving hope to them thanks to mc’s pregnancy
* I like the fact that MC (a transmigrator) does not accept the discrimination from the start. Instead of shouting for the injustice and getting angry, he uses a more quieter method like refusing to do business with those who look down on humans and transferring his brother to another school and so on
* I am not a big fan of preg so I cannot comment on the fact that MC do s*upid things while pregnant (hiding the pregnancy and eating less despite knowing what the baby dragons needs special care)
* I have to comment about the brainless parts though:
1- Humans are accepted by the alien race thanks to the raw food the brought with them (a big variety of plant seeds) BUT because those who were able to leave the dying earth were scientists, none of them knew how to grow (or cook) those seeds...
So, you leave earth with seeds and do not bring knowledge about how to grow them?
Even worse; if you did bring that knowledge but lost it, how come aliens accepted you sine their purpose was your vegetables?
2- The villains are jailed for life because they stole 11 chili seeds or grew potatoes in unauthorized farms. Those potatoes were bad due already starting germination and made those who ate chips dizzy. These were not rotten potatoes...
Really... do I have to explain the BS? In RL, when I see a potato that started germinating, I would remove the buds, peel it and cook it. Never got sick. No need to comment on the life imprisonment for stealing 11 chili seeds...
3- Aliens and humans eat mostly nutrient solutions but MC and ML find out it might be the reason for the aliens’ fertility issues. All this while the government can analyze if a vegetable is toxic or not in a few hours (example the potato chips that makes you dizzy). But hey, analyzing the nutrient solutions that everyone ingest for centuries never occurred to them it seems
[collapse]Well, I might be a bit too critical in the spoiler part but I am still enjoying reading the novel. The fluff keeps me going and I am at the phase where I laugh at the illogical parts
