If you don't mind game mechanics and a lot of logic errors along the way, it's a pretty interesting story. It would be better/more interesting if the protagonist didn't try to do everything by himself the whole time, and most of the side characters (anyone not friendly with the protagonist) after the otome game part begins seem literally ret*rded, but on the whole it's an entertaining read. Then again, they're par for the course for otome game novel characters so...I see "The World of Otome Games is Tough For Mobs" on recommended list. The plot flow is somewhat similar, but the protagonist and setting here are a lot more consistent and likeable, and this isn't harem.
