Writing this review somewhat in conjunction with the previous review. The complaints about this story being similar to otome mob begin and end at "otome game with a male protagonist". So if you're like me, and are an otome book fan who wants a male protagonist then this is a great read for you. That being said the story is somewhat generic, with the "lead up to a condemnation event" arc. However for those who are otome game story junkies like myself, then it's an acceptable plot device. I would have rated this 4/5 but there were too many overly negative reviews so this is a bit of a rebound review so new readers aren't completely turned off. I hope you enjoy this the same way that I do!Quick edit as well, if you're not a harem fan than this one will be preferable to otome mob. Though otome mom's world building is superior to Villager A's. Quick shoutout to the translator as well for consistent translations and good communication. The response to feedback isn't necessary but is very much appreciated.
