There are some nonsense and things that make you think a lot of "why", but overall it's quite good and enjoyable. Definitely above average in terms of story compared to standard JP novels. Edit at ch50 : I retract my statement, it has a lot of plot holes and MC's character is very questionable lately. A lot of forced events, and weirdly paced story. I think 3 is very generous as it start with good impression.
