I've seen a number of reviews on here dissatisfied with the amount of exposition and pacing of the novel. I think that's very fair. After all, it can get boring and dry if some chapters are mostly just explanation and very little plot. Plus, like someone said, it gets difficult to keep up with a story like this update to update since each chapter only has a small amount of plot information in comparison to another story. This isn't really a problem for me though. I've come to expect this from CN novels- they easily reach thousands of chapters, a few rare ones even reaching the five-digit mark. But I will 100% agree with what another reviewer said - it's going to be a much better experience if you save up chapters to read in one go. The most ideal way to read a novel like this is by the volume. If you can't wait, read maybe 10-20 chapters in one go at the very least. That way the pacing won't feel as difficult to get through. While reading the raws, I do find it a touch too verbose and slow-paced, but I'm not really in a hurry to get through it, so it's fine. The one thing I will say is the author is unnecessarily consistent with their pacing. I think during tense or high-action parts, they could do away with the constant perspective switching and detailing all the different things that are happening, and cut straight to the action and bring across the small focal points in more bite-sized pieces. It would make the piece cut together better. But as I said, it doesn't bother me that much since I'm not that much in a hurry.Personally, I have no complaints about the novel whatsoever. It's good. The problem is it's not particularly excellent at anything either. It's a pretty good read, and it's enjoyable, but it won't be one of the top novels you've ever read. I recently gave another novel the same rating as this but that novel was one of the best novels I've read. It's just that it also had flaws that I could not overlook to the point of not being able to give it a 5. This novel is not like that. This novel has no real flaws to me, but there are no real outstanding aspects either. It's just a good, comfortable read. If you're looking for a novel with nothing much to complain about, and with no intense stakes or anything, this is a very good novel to dig into. It's a soothing read, as opposed to novels that have intense emotional arcs or evoke strong emotions in the reader.
