If you're wondering if this review has any weight because I stopped at chapter 3, then I ask you to consider how bad a novel has to be to get someone to drop it at chapter 3.I can tell that the author put a lot of effort into establishing the world and orchestrating what I assume to be the first arc of the story, but it quickly falls apart the moment the author pivots his focus to the protagonist. The first thing he does is unironically act like the scumbag he took the body of.There's no lead up to it, nor is there a satisfying explanation afterwards. It's essentially, "Oh, yeah I'm probably talking like this because... Idfk. But I'm actually okay with this."... What? That is among the laziest writing I've ever seen. It's a cringe-worthy Im14AndThisIsDeep trope to begin with, but at least a novel like "My Death Flags Show No Signs of Ending" explained it right off the bat and it acts as a -- albeit unsatisfying -- continued problem throughout the story. When doing a trope that is oversaturated as academy isekai stories, the bar to be deserving of time to read is going to be high, and this story falls far short of that.
