Judging from the other reviews, im not alone in struggling to get through the early chapters. This story reads like a jp novel from the 2010s. the MC talks to himself and his animal/monster companions communicate back in onomatopoeia and body language. The seriess has an [adult] tag but the adult content is extremely lacking. Most of the early story is slow, slice of live survival in the jungle. But judging by the tags.... things must get rather crazy later on.but maybe thats the theme the author is going for. The MC reincarnates as a demon and his past life memories actually hamper his development rather than aid him in his rise. being unable to communicate with others seems to be a big theme in this story. He has to learn from scratch and is often plagued by misunderstandings due to his previous life's memories. It makes him come off as a little unhinged and out of place. a true 'fish out of water' story.
