I'll avoid talking about the story for now because as much as it gets hype it gets equally depressing, so I'll stick to what eased my heart in the beginning and kept me going in this novel. This is one of those type of stories with mainly comedy, but when sh*t hit the fan, it hit really hard. I just love the Gyeon siblings so much (Zio, Ji-Rok, Geum-hee), Tiger being their nanny/parent, Zio being... Zio, Jo-eon being Jo's fanatic and Baek-hoo a reliable butler... as well as the other non- and top rankers interactions. Zio's personality was the most fun thing to me, although more complicated than what it appears.

Spoiler

Zio is a ridiculous monster and a free standing ruler, she is not a good person, but she is not bad, you can see as you read how she is someone who knew how to hide for more than a decade ever since little as if it was her lifeline, basically despite her nonchalant yet wild personality, status, and how she is a bad liar, she went to great lengths to protect her comfort (almost lunacy. The reason is explained in chaps 10-15, but it's related to her mother) while under the protection of her grandpa, the title is basically it, be it suppressing power (best at it), human interactions (threatening and avoiding), "Zio was a bystander who pursued non-violence, but the path of absolute was the path of absolute", if there's a threat she won't hesitate, it's scary but fun to us readers. You can see her identity will not be easily in danger just for nothing unless she let down her guard which cannot be really blamed when it happens (comedy gold). Despite being carefree and lazy, she has this tyrannical, cold, temperamental and indifferent side with her kingly nature, and caring almost paranoid side when it comes to her mother (to Zio = owner) and little bro (=mother's son) and sis.

What I like is that the country never relied on her alone as their powerhouse, it treats the fact how a single person can never solve everything themselves, like the Lion, a first generation awakener and a veteran who was always on the frontline, a hunter who would fight disasters in front. The grandpa whom the already childish Zio act more childish toward, or rather awkward facing his pampering which makes her like a rebellious grand child. Yet she still intervenes when situations were hopeless (aka to zio like opening a can of soda) and when she judged necessary, her appearance in itself was a salvation as the first S rank will allow others to be born bringing hope, so no matter the character, she always was acknowledged as a hero.

Some of her unique titles as hunter are literally : "lazy", "immature", "tyrant". While Rok (little bro) is the crazy deer/Bambi, She is the crazy cat, someone you find so adorable despite their shamelessness, extrem nonchalance and laziness (like siblings, regressor (aka butler) and the poor souls who are stuck as her friends because they'd known her since kindergarten), and the way they show love : bluntly and reluctantly, depending on the people they include in their socially withdrawn closed off "circle". Her interactions with her family is specially funny to see. And the most important, knows how to flaunt and flex whenever she can, after all, again, she is a ridiculous monster, a king was a king even if they were indolent and indifferent, even if they found it bothersome or annoying they have no reason to dislike popularity or acting strong, and her character development was my favourite thing in this story.
