The story starts off a bit rough and a little forced, but the series is pretty good overall.

The core, recurring characters do have their own personalities, but some of the other characters do seem to just blend into one generic "side character".

As with most Chinese fantasy novels, the main character is both extremely lucky and naturally gifted. A good example is that he starts to figure out how to do "parallel processing" and becomes proficient in it within the first day. Also, he just happens to find an OP master who teaches him OP skills... which he masters in just a couple of days. (I know that he hasn't fully mastered them, but he is proficient enough to steamroll through almost everyone, so yeah).

As to the negative reviews, I'd like to address some of the issues that people had.

Spoiler
  1. The generic "kyaa" moment that gets him mistaken as a rapist. Keep in mind that the MC was practicing moving both bodies independently. The story has also had one body venting the emotions generated by what the other body is experiencing. So, the whole "kyaa" situation comes from the female body venting the emotions of panic from him not wanting to wet himself.
  2. The female half does nothing to correct the misunderstanding. Well, at first, there wasn't any need or opportunity to do so. By the time she event wakes up, the male half can't be found and he is busy training. By the time that the misunderstanding could become an issue, it is already too late to change things. Plus, the MC is afraid to upset things for the female half because he doesn't want er to be killed and he doesn't want to expose his "condition".
  3. The fight scenes suck. Well, they get a lot better later. The author just doesn't dwell on boring fights.
  4. The author doesn't explore the potential of having 2 bodies and starts to developer the 2 halves as separate individuals. Honestly, I don't want to read 20 chapters of the MC stunning his toes as he learns how to walk. Also, each half developing their own personality is a pretty good plot development, when you think about it. Even though it is one consciousness, the differing bodies and environments basically gave birth to 2 different people.
  5. The separate bodies is just as a convenient gimmick to move the story, but is forgotten most of the time. The bodies do act independently, but they are constantly sharing info, so I don't really see this point.

All in all, I'd say that you should give this story a shot. Just don't expect some big epic and keep in mind that it gets better as it goes.
