I honestly have enjoyed this novel very much, especially after rereading it through the human TL of Amawashi. Personally, I've read most of the novel through google translate from Kakuyomu, but I still found it incredibly great. This novel is a slowburn, which means I want to shake the two a lot of times and yell at them.Spoiler
Funnily enough, I feel like this novel was just basically Gay Chicken. They just kept doing gayer and gayer things until it felt undeniable on what their feelings were. Which I hope is where the chapters will continue on from.
[collapse]Overall, the protagonists both feel incredibly complex and make sense in the ways they act and feel. SpoilerOne of them even actively lies to herself subconsciously that her inner thoughts made her such an unreliable narrator alongside the other's perspective being also unreliable. It's ironically difficult to parse what they truly feel until you get the nuance of how each hides her true feelings.
[collapse]The only thing I missed from this novel that other novels possessed were side characters. In fact, there is no side couple. Only Miyagi and Sendai.SpoilerIt's almost how frustrating that their feelings are so obviously requited yet they will not do anything to address the huge elephant in the room.
[collapse]Again, would rate this novel highly again as I enjoyed how much I wanted to both cheer in joy and then strangle someone in quick succession.
