Turns Out, My Husband Is The Real Young Master Chapter 90 Discussion

I wanted to like this, it has an interesting mix of tropes and topics and the characters aren't too one-dimensional.

It's ruined by the execution.

Entertainment industry novels need a balance between fan-comments and story, although comments are completely unnecessary for a good entertainment novel, if they are used, it has to been done right.

The writer seems to have forgotten that this is a book, not a transcript of a show.

If you delete all the viewer comments, the novel would have maybe 40 chapters.

It's like watching a show and reading live-comments, but the screen is so flooded with them that you can barely see what's going on with the actors.

The worst, these comments add absolutely nothing to the story, they are meaningless opinions about what's currently happening with the characters, nothing else, and they pop up every few sentences.

You get two paragraphs of story and then 8 sentences of comments, rinse and repeat.

There's no way to focus on or properly follow the plot, I tried skipping all the useless comments, but they are so overwhelming that it's hard to skim over without missing parts of the real plot.

The result is that the story is very shallow despite actually being quite complicated if done right, but the writer rather focused on the comments instead of flashing out the plot.

A novel is a novel, a show a show, you can't turn one into the other and expect them to work.

Readers want a book, not the transcript of some C-tire variety show.

I only have 30 or so chapters left and scrolled through them, it stays drowned in comments until the end, there is no way for the plot to wrap up properly.

I suspect the writer is very young, it was hard at time to understand what she wrote and now that I read some reader opinions, it seems she not only made a lot of typos but didn't even bother to check if the sentence structure makes sense.

To summarise it, she didn't give a damn about this "novel", neither about her readers wasting their time on tr*sh she didn't even try to write at least coherently.

Not recommended.
