It’s not good. Like a badly written telenova or soap opera, plot holes galore. Side characters disappear. Mc’s personality flip flops in beginning, as if the author had no idea how she was going to write him. ML supposed to be so vengeful and competent but he never found out about the MC taking year long swimming lessons. The villain, as is typical of Chinese novels, is the illegitimate brother of MC. MC is lazy and does nothing but spend money on clothes and jewelry and looks at himself in the mirror. Somehow that’s supposed to be endearing? Mc’s older brother and ML buy him yachts and islands because he’s a princess. MC is basically a girl written as a boy for bl. Oh but in his life before transmigration he went to Haaarvard and worked on Wall Street (cue eye roll).I really enjoyed the author’s xanxia novel After I Was Preached By My Senior Brother (badly translated title??), so I mtled this one. This novel almost seems like the same MC and ML (waste and expensive tastes most beautiful MC + op most handsome yandere wife-s*ave Ml) but like a terribly written, modern life/business version. Also it got super boring after the time-skip and once the MC and ML reunited. I kept going cause I hate dropping a novel I started, but the ridiculous soap opera ending drama, I can’t even find words for how badly written it is.2 stars for varied women in this novel and not all as brainless canon fodder villains.
