The reviews turned me off but THANK GOD I read this! I actually came here because of the "Black room play" list, which this one is listed and I'd assumed there's gonna be some kind of "yandere gong imprisoned Mc" later in the story. There is, but not the abusive depressing type. It's more satisfying. The plot- Engaging and unique, maybe you'll be confuse and bored at the beginning (just like I did and dropped it after 1-2 chaps before picking it up again, And I'm glad I did!), because later EVERY CHAPTER IS SO INTERESTING YOU WON'T GET BORED. Trust me, It's similar to svsss but pose apocalyptic setting, there's a lot of fight, danger, and life and death situations that got my heart beating.

The MC (shou) - is everything I like! He has a self-sacrificing tendency. Hated by a lot of people, tortured and betrayed but still remained brave and kind. He has a sad and painful past (before he met the gong) that it's a wonder how he could still laugh and joke about life today (He reminds me of a mix of Xie Lian: with his carefree and go with the flow attitude + being extremely poor; and Wei Wuxian: with his cunning and sly ways) . I don't understand why people doesn't like his ambiguous words that made misunderstandings like comeon', the TITLE itself screams misunderstandings (in a satisfying and good way) with the Gong eating vinegar and being jealous all the time. MC is strong but he ended up in a lot of trouble and definitely needed a lot of help from the Gong at the beginning. He's smart, witty, funny, easy going and his nonchalant attitude in the midst of disaster and in the face of death is very refreshing. He's also oblivious about the gong's feelings for a long time (which I liked very much since I love low EQ but High IQ MCs)

The ML (gong) - My taste. Similar to Luo Binghe from svsss, just more humane (he doesn't hurt the mc) but definitely not inferior when it comes to being paranoid over the MC. At first he's like a tsundere wary wolf cub (picked up by the MC, very cute) then he turned into a kuudere/yandere gong further in the story because of the MC's continuous lies. He's definitely a green flag (for the mc) and red flag (against everyone else). I love how unique he is, because its very rare nowadays for a gong to not even dare to lay a finger/hurt the MC even though the MC had continuously provoked his inner demons lol. My poor baby just wants to save MC from his tragic experiences (and lock him up from the cruel world whilst keeping him to himself). He treasures the MC while also coveting him in his mind. He would kill anyone who has hurt the MC or dared to hurt him. He would even die for the MC. (But we all know the MC beat him to it by pretending to be dead lol hahahahha).
