This is a very dramatic, slightly angsty novel. I would characterize it as a slow burn romance. The CP has great chemistry. There's quite a bit of action in this book. The way the ML reveals his true feelings is one of the most dramatic scenes I have ever seen.It's interesting because the MC is slightly older than the ML. If you include the lives she lived in her previous life, she's much older than him. But biologically, she's only a year older. She's very OP. She knows martial arts and later becomes a general.The Elder princess is one of my favorite characters. She's the sister of the emperor. But later, there's a new emperor and she winds up being his much older consort. She's quite savvy politically and has managed to survive many regime changes.As for the 2nd MC, what can I say? He has a major case of regretful male syndrome. He is completely different than what he was in his first life. He is devoted. But sometimes people are like two ships that pass by each other in the night.Cons:There isn't much character progression in either character. Both are super OP.I'm not sure why either ML loves the MC, aside for the fact that she's the MC and she's a loyal person.TBH, the 2nd ML is more interesting and three dimensional.
