I think this story is trying to be like The Job of an Imperial Concubine, only that story is much better as it is more interesting with great side characters. This one is very dull and boring imo. I dropped it as I couldn't bear to read on anymore.

It is more like a slice-of-life with nothing much happening.

Basically FL transmigrate into a noble concubine who just delivered her third child, a princess. She then realizes that she's in a particular time period where the Emperor lived to 80 years of age and she knows what happens to everyone. It was in the history books. The original owner of the body died quite early and her kids perished early too. Not because of assassination or whatever. Just health issues.

So our FL's aim is to live well and to have her children live well.

In that particular era, the Emperor and everyone else only eats twice a day as overeating is an indulgence. Emperor also hates fat people. He is a facecon.

FL doesn't care and eats well till she's plump. She also breaks the rules and feeds her children so they're not too weak. She basically cooks a lot and eats well and somehow attracts the Emperor's attention that way.

What happens next? Basically FL maintains her casual nonchalant smiley face "I'm a good wife" attitude but the Emperor kinda knows FL is actually faking it. He thinks she's a hypocrite but he can't actually figure out the truth. Cause she doesn't want him to stay with her, nor does she purposely grab his attention. Even when he wants to favour her, she doesn't want it. And this egoistic man is like "my concubines are mine and must want me". -.-

Anyway the story goes that way. Emperor slowly falls for our FL while FL just doesn't care and lives her life.

That's why its boring. The harem doesn't have much happenings too as the one with the vicious thoughts is Concubine Jia whereas others don't do very much. Even the Queen's early birth to her son is because an enraged concubine rushes into her and pushes her down. Like, there is no secret miscarriage drugs or whatever. It's blatant. Nobody has deep schemes like the other novel so it's kinda boring to read.

Even the childcare factor is lacking since the FL's sons are not allowed to stay with her and she meets with them twice a month. She is most often with her daughter.

Dropped it as I found it tedious to read with such a boring storyline. Skipped to the end where the Emperor finally admits he loves FL but FL thinks of him... as a friend.

Spoiler

All she ever wanted was to live a good life and die in peace with her children and grandchildren.

But she didn't expect that. Unexpectedly, Qianlong fell in love with her instead. He went from being indifferent at the beginning to having petty emotions and even duplicity later on, then he acted with her in a bloody romance theater at eight o'clock, and finally he showed his sincerity to her and praised her for her. He no longer accepted new concubines, and searched for all the rare treasures in the world for her, keeping her in her heart for decades.

Su Limo cherished this friendship, and it finally warmed her for these decades.

Translation is... not great. Meanings of sentences are distorted. But MTL isn't great either.
