So, the story unfolds when Bai Yan, playing "Babel Tower, " realizes it's not just a game – it's messing with the real world. The game's events sync up with reality with a time delay. The catch? Bai Yan can 'restart' in the game, using info from past runs to his advantage. When he "saves" the game, events play out in the real world a few hours later. It's all about preventing world-ending disasters, from stopping cultists summoning gods to nipping epidemics in the bud.
The world of "Noah" is diverse with three countries: The Air Alliance, Night Union, and Euro League. Each has its own vibe, from contemporary fantasy to post-apocalyptic sci-fi and fantasy. Bai Yan collects "Operators" through gacha-style summons, gaining fragments or snagging them instantly. There are relics, tactical cards, skins with power changes, and even buildable facilities worldwide. Other worlds exist, but they don't seem super relevant.
Avoiding spoilers, let's talk about Bai Yan, the MC. At first, he seems like your typical transmigrator with powers, but as the story unfolds, he's revealed as a manipulative mastermind. He's defeated a great devil, made dark sacrifices, and has a twisted past, but he later gets a memory alteration and forgets it (though he gets it back later on). Despite being kind of psychopathic, he sticks to moral values and won't go on a random killing spree. He's got this dual personality thing going on, balancing ruthlessness with some ordinary dude vibes.
Overall, I'd rate it 9.2/10. My only gripe? The chapter count is low, and the author could've expanded it like "LOTM" with daily lives of other operators, different POVs, or side plots. Still, it's a fantastic novel and definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended.
