Every now and the I torture myself with angsty novels. Yes, this novel has it’s angst, but not in the way in which you would expect. The ML, is not a cold and indifferent a-hole who revels in the torture of the FML only realizing his love for her after she leaves. Though still cold and indifferent, the ML is inherently respectful and kind to the FML who holds the title of a princess from a fallen kingdom.The novel is shrouded in intense mysteries and each character is not without flaws and is well fleshed. A story about the most fatally beautiful woman in the continent who betrothed a man lured by all things shiny. The tension is also very apparent, sometimes verging on to cusp of a R-19 novel.I truly recommend this novel for those who have the patience of slow burns and abhor angsty novels that always attempt to justify abusive ML’s.
