There are some stories that were so good that I am not willing to see what chapter I am at because I don't want to know how many chapters are left. While there are some stories where I kept counting how many chapters are left with the mentality of holding on because there are only few chapters left. Well, this story is the latter. It has a good synopsis and honestly, it could've been good if we just subtracted the ABO world. It just looked redundant and nonsense. Neither of them look their own gender. The FL doesn't have any ferocity or characteristics that an alpha should have. The ML doesn't have any characteristics of an omega. In short, this ABO set up just added some confusion to the story.Second, I kinda hate the several misunderstandings between them. But it's understandable due to the communication barrier so I'll reluctantly let it pass. However, it's undeniable that it's kinda tiring and frustrating.Third, I don't like the FL that much, especially at the beginning. Maybe it's because I have an expectation for her. That she's an A. With an SSS level glands at that. So I was expecting that she's actually strong but no. She's a crybaby, and again, nothing like an Alpha. It looks like the author just added that characteristic for her just to add some color but that's just it.Meanwhile, the plot revolves around the healing of the mermaid. Though we didn't see him completely healed (without the fins) but he's in that process nevertheless. Also, the ML is really my only salvation in this story. He's my favorite because he has a very interesting character design. He's ferocious, but he's like a large dog towards the FL. He's very powerful but he's insecurities are very vivid. He's cold but his heart belongs to the FL completely. He's supposed to have a cold character but sometimes, he's childish, funny, and very easy to coax. I like his contradictions.Overall, it's a story which, I suppose, has some redeeming qualities but to me, I won't say I like it very much. 7/10.
