I'm halfway done, but I just had to login and make a quick review ahaha. One of the lawyer-y type of stories I loved was "Don't fall in love with the boss" No wonder I loved this sm since its by the same author lol. I would even say this one is an improvement but I love both very much

I loved Qi Xi's development. Seeing her fall for Gu Yan made me also fall and swoon for Gu Yan (unfortunately not real right?) What to say.. Qi Xi is extremely dense despite being intelligent but who can blame her when Gu Yan keeps things ambiguous

In comparison to her other work, I would say this is less cringe (less second-hand embarassment and less cheesy), more comedic and more romantic. There were tons of moment like the scene of them eating durian that were so genuinely funny. Scenes of them riding a bike together while talking about life and love despite being in suits that felt very romantic. I feel that they acted less as rivals and more like cats and dogs who were constantly tugging on each other. Qi Xi constantly makes attempts to get closer to Gu Yan--all of which are somewhat of a failure (or is it?).

UPDATE: Finished today

I was a bit unsatisfied with the ending.. I think there might be more but the ending left me hanging. Also because the proposal felt like a joke and felt so cheesy..

Spoiler

Out of all possible ways to propose just why did he have to use Jason Derulo's "Marry Me." ;;q;; ??
