I recently tried to read this novel, and while it had some interesting ideas, I had to drop it.The author kept bouncing between info dumping and speeding through the plot, which made it really hard to stay engaged. I felt like I was drowning in details at some points and then missing key moments at others.Another thing that bugged me was that the side characters ended up being way more interesting than the main couple. Their backstories grabbed my attention much more. The main couple had some chemistry, but the buildup was slower than a snail.Also, the pacing was all over the place. Some sections dragged on forever, while other parts flew by without enough buildup. It was a bit frustrating and broke my immersion in the story.While the translation was nice, the pronouns kept switching between "she" and "he, " which made reading a bit more confusing than it needed to be.I’m quite disappointed overall.
