MC wants out of the entertainment industry, but would have to pay a huge fine to terminate his contract and the ML steps up to loan the money on the condition that MC pay it off through acting in his company's movies with more autonomy over what work he has to accept, but this is never really mentioned again. I kept wandering how much money he was making on his roles and when he would pay this debt off. Presumably, by the time it was relevant MC would have already been in love with ML and acting, but it would have been another fun bit of tension for the ML to bring up that he have completed his obligations and was now 'free'.
[collapse].There was also a little pacing problem at the ending, their relationship was fully developed (besides a proposal and a wedding) and the plot points had basically all been resolved (other than getting a dog and 'the end of the novel'), but there were a bunch scenes of filming of a variety show and another movie together, which didn't really add much except fluff and Chinese military/nationalist propaganda. Would have preferred more time bonding with the dog and getting to see the wedding instead. The transmigration is Spoileralso like a lot of transmigration novels used solely a premise for the MC to have a new set of skills /personality that bring them and ML together, which I don't really mind, but it is always a special treat to have them reveal their true past/have there truth discovered, which we don't get here.
