Huh, so I'm not the only one that dropped this at around this chapter, it just got kind of boring. It was a "marriage out of convenience" but it doesn't make sense to marry someone for 8% of the shares of a company when his status is much higher and he has more money. It seems as if the author wanted to make up a reason for them to marry without feelings. Also, yes, the synopsis is very very different to the actual novel, she knew who he was even before he suggested the marriage.
