I really love this novel. I actually MTL all of the chapters in one sitting. My favourite scene is definitely the ML's confession to MC. It's soooo sweet that it's diabetic.I love the MC. She's really emotionally strong in that she doesn't make a fuss or whine about her situation. She knows she's in dire strait. She's very pragmatic and that's one big factor, the other is that she does not fall in love with the ML until much later. She doesn't freely hand out her affections. I love her relationship with her dad and her best friend. Seriously, I would want to be friends with her. She doesn't dwell too much on her current situation. Don't get me wrong she does get frustrated and angry, depressed and sad just like anyone else. She's not a Mary Sue. She's not a martyr.I absolutely adore this female lead. She enters the contract marriage with her eyes opened. She's not starry eyes expecting romance, flowers and love instead her responses and treatment of the ML are respectful and practical. But I love how she won't let people bully her. She executes it in such a dignified way. I love how the author does throw in some challenges but at least they are believable.I really like the male lead. He does develop over time and oh boy the transformation is so well-executed and sweet! The best part is there is no forced seduction, they actually communicate and get to know one another. Yes, there are the usual tropes of misunderstanding but that's to be expected as they are still getting to know each other. At least there are real conversations. I love the progress of the relationship and I really hope this novel may be made into a drama.
