The protagonist leaves his position as a trainee when his company is trying to prostitute him, and with the support of his well-off family he becomes a shut-in playing games. Then he's translated inside a game where he has to become an idol to even survive, with all of his stats rest to abysmal levels.Maybe it's just not the type of story that I'm looking for, but it seems too arbitrary. Usually when something like this happens, there's a background of karmic retribution of some sort - especially with such harsh penalties.Avoiding prostitution is a perfectly legitimate reason to abandon that career and I don't see a reason why he should be punished and forced back into it. It even seems as if his gaming was going to open up an alternate career in streaming and content creation.Maybe I've "stopped too soon", but 10 chapters in the characters are neither deep, detailed, nor likeable. I've forced myself to read up to this point, but I just can't gather any interest to read further. All that said, it's not written terribly, so if you specifically want to read an idol survival show (survival being somewhat literal in this case), it may still be enjoyable. In my opinion, "I Was Trying To Debut My Baby, But I Ended Up Debuting Instead" had a better approach for this type of subject (more interesting characters and motivations, more interesting plot, better reasoning behind the setting).
