Taming the Obsessive Attachment Chapter 32 Discussion

I'm reviewing early cuz I see this novel has way lower stars than expected.

This is a novel with a very fricked up ML. We literally have the tags 'Rpe victim becomes lover' and 'Obsessive love', of course it's fricked up! Why would you expect a healthy relationship from a novel with such tags? (In my opinion we should add Psychological, too.) No, this is about a guy with a fricked up life who fricks someone else up too, and they both somehow end up in a fricked up relationship together because of the fricked up world. If this is not to your taste, do not read. unfvcktheworld said it all- rocky relationship, no consent, we're not here for sugar and sweets, we're here for pain.

Second warning, this novel is kinky af. I love the kinkiness, it satisfied me to the bone, but know that I am a dirty freak who finds plain ole' love boring. Beware if you like vanilla. Or, um, explore a new world of possibilities (?) lmao.

But if you can stomach such topics, then you cannot deny that the novel is well written. The ML and MC both have reasons for acting the way they do. They act very realistically, and their characters develop so well.

First is MC... oh boy, he's the best shou/uke I have ever seen. Ever. I love him so much. Unlike other novels where the shou is either doted on, or they just cry about their circumstances and don't do anything, this shou is proactive. He has everything together, he's got the mental strength of steel, and he makes the best out of his situation while still remembering to curse at the reason why he's so fricked up. He's relatable and really refreshing and not the standard crybaby MC, he acts like an adult, and he's like 90% the reason why you should read this. Though I hate unequal relationships, especially in romance, he's the reason I continued reading.

As for ML, I actually grew to empathize and pity him over the course of the book. I started to want better for him; of course, his circumstances do not excuse the horrible things he did at the start, but I can just understand why he's such a scumbag. And the MC does the same; because he knows what the ML's been through, he understands. (Though he does kinda get Stockholm Syndrome later, watching that's fun too.)

A similar novel would be 'Turns out I'm Crazy', if you like this novel, read that; or if you like that novel, try this. Both are beautiful pages of mindfrick that dig at you, the reader.
