The Demonic Ancestor who Desired Supremacy Chapter 27 Discussion

The synopsis is actually a bit misleading. The story begins with the main pair as an already established couple. I actually preferred the way it was done. I like established couples. No drama or third party. There were a few flashbacks about when they just met so we have that if you want. I overlooked this novel for so long because the synopsis made it seem like MC raised the ML, but they didn't actually interact till ML was in his late teens early 20s. I don't remember clearly but ML was brought into the palace early as a servant and saw MC like once I think. However, they never actually met till later. I'm not sure of the timeline because it's all a flashback. In the actual story we are really following the couple as they solve issues in the country. Mostly those related to MC's duties as crown prince.

ML follows MC providing support and muscle. As we know MC has some medical/cultivation issues. ML is obsessed with MC. MC can do no wrong in his eyes. It's interesting how MC is somewhat aware and tries not take advantage of this. ML is usually cutesy and obedient to MC and only MC. ML isn't very dominant or forceful with MC as you think someone with his obsession would be and that's because he respects MC a lot.

Spoiler

ML is very obsessed. He was trapped in a nightmare heart illusion and enjoyed being tortured by MC. It's implied he'd do anything MC wants aside from staying away. He'd rather beg, be punished or killed by MC than force him but he's not completely against it.

I really love MC's family dynamic. His family are active characters in the book and aren't blind to the problems MC is facing. I do love a united family. MC's family is actually very big because they're immortals.

Spoiler

Many of them are in seclusion but they do gather if there's an emergency. There's also no fighting for the throne as no one wants the responsibility.

Overall, the story is actually more 4 stars than 5 but it's rated so low. I was a bit confused in the beginning but it's a very enjoyable read. We are not far in and it'll probably be even better.
