I enjoyed it until the kidnapping incident. It's when I realised that the author made the characters handle a gruesome issue with such immaturity.
  • No matter how young or isolated MC was in previous life, he faced the darkness of humanity and couldn't be untainted. He had so many ways to deal with Fang family but chose to be passive. He didn't even have the awareness to always have company or to hire bodyguards. If he found himself limited by his age, he should have confided in his parents. I can't respect his passivity.
  • The grandparents were extremely childish and irresponsible. This was a life and death situation but they could procrastinate reconciling with their son and warning him of the danger.
  • It's disgusting when victims turn into perpetrators. The one who caused MC's tragedy was a deranged man in prison who faced no further consequences. The Ye family didn't immediately deal with Fang family when there was the slightest possibility that someone else could fall victim to their scheme.
It irked me how such an insidious family could be so easily toppled. It irritated me that MC easily escaped the kidnapping. It threw me off and reminded me I was reading fiction.

My pro is the translator. I liked her comments.

I bet she's not their biological daughter. The first chapter was a very good read, engaging and Intriguing. I don't feel like stopping.
